Rapid advancements in technology often leads to a large increase in the amount of computers, phones and media equipment becoming obsolete and destined for the rubbish heap.
For medium to large businesses, this can equate to a large number of items that need to be recycled or disposed of at any one time. It is tempting for data controllers to opt for the quickest and cheapest option when choosing a company to recycle their computers and other electronic items.
