Update (27.3.20)

Please note that from Monday 30th March CDL will be ceasing any non-essential collections. We will remain operational to provide assistance to our public (NHS) and private healthcare clients.  Space is at a premium in hospitals, thus as long as demand is there from our healthcare clients we will continue to support them in these difficult times. 

CDL management team are meeting twice daily to ensure we are adhering to government guidelines, both for the benefit of our clients and our own staff and taking appropriate actions. 

As the situation remains fluid we will, if required, provide our services to organisations who are considered “essential” in helping to contain and eradicate Covid-19. 

We will remain in contact to advise when our services will be back in operation for all our other valued clients.

Until we are instructed otherwise, we are continuing our operation as usual.

We appreciate how difficult this situation is for all of us, as such we are offering our customers next day collections in order to ensure that data security does not add to your problems.
Simply request a collection before 4pm and we will aim to collect your IT equipment the next working day anywhere in mainland UK!

We would like to assure you that our drivers are taking extra precautions, for both their own and your safety.

These precautions include;

  • Washing their hands regularly
  • All drivers are wearing disposable gloves during the collection
  • Our staff will adhere to a 2m safe distance recommendation at all times throughout the collection
  • Masks are provided should you feel necessary that either you or the driver should wear one
  • Tablets are being wiped with antibacterial wipes before and after every collection
  • Extra care is being taken to clean the inside of the vehicle with antibacterial wipes after every collection.

All drivers are able to load the van unassisted by your staff so if you feel it is necessary, you may choose not to attend the collection in person by giving the relevant collection details to your account manager. Our drivers will call you personally before the collection and before leaving the site to go through the collection summary.

Using DocuSign, your account manager can electronically send you your Collection Summary, Chain of custody and Waste Transfer Notes to ensure that you are legally complying to the GDPR legislation and you have all of the relevant paperwork as normal. This is a service that we have been offering before the Coronavirus outbreak so we have successfully performed this process many times already.

The Senior Management Team at CDL are continuing to meet daily to review any updated advice from the government, and you can be assured that the safety and wellbeing of both your staff and our staff are paramount.
