TFT And LCD Monitors Reclassified As Hazardous Waste

As of April 2010, The Environment agency has reclassified TFT and LCD monitors including laptop screens as Hazardous Waste. Detailed information can be found at the following link:

What does this mean to you as a business? In addition to CRT monitors you will have to notify your IT disposal company as to how many TFT monitors and laptops you are disposing of. It will be your IT disposal company’s responsibility to ensure all WEEE documentation is completed as per the new legislation.
